Majesty in The Manger: Why Jesus is a King Like No Other
The third gift presented to Jesus after his birth was Gold. A gift fit for a king, for somehow, throughout history, gold seems to have always represented royalty. But Jesus is a king like no other – born into a lowly state, there was no palace for him. His life was to be one of rejection and opposition, yet these Magi from a distant land, worshipped him, recognising before most others that this baby was born to be King.
